A note from Crickhowell Pony Club to Brecon Crickhowell & District Riding Club: "Crickhowell Pony Club would like to thank the riding club members for supporting our Dressage and Clear Round Jumping on the weekend. Both setting up on Friday and competing on Saturday It was greatly appreciated, We hope you enjoyed yourselves." |
The Naf Championships at Hartpury was well attended from teams all over the country including Isle of Wight etc. Hartpury is a fabulous venue for these championships. There was a very well built jumping course that tested both horse and rider. Our team had a few incidents including a vaccination problem and one of the horses being spooked by all of the goings on that unbalanced the rider who came off and really hurt her leg, fortunately she walked away from it and lived to tell the tale. A great day had by all and from the photos you can see there was plenty of support (and Strongbow to finish the day off!). I will also mention that one of our instructors Kate Bevan did extremely well in the dressage, her team came 8th overall so well done to Kate and her team.

Thanks also to all the stewards and officials etc for giving up their time to make it a success. Lastly, a big thank you to the sun for staying out for us!!
Here are just some of the responses from this years successful event.
"Just wanted to thank you and everyone else who helped organise yesterday's Fun Ride. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and thought the setting was brilliant. It was so nice to have the chance to enjoy an early Spring ride and see everyone again after such a long, hard Winter. It would be great if it could become an annual event in the Riding Club's Diary."

About Us
Brecon, Crickhowell & District Riding Club was formed when two friends wanted to join a riding club and found that the distance to travel to the nearest club was just too far, so they decided to get a few like minded people together and form their own riding club and open it to all and which both Brecon & Crickhowell Pony Clubs could follow onto. Welcome to our club that will provide you with a wide variety of events throughout the year to appeal to non-horse riders, the non-competitive riders, the novices, the not so novices and the very competitive riders. The only pressure on anyone is to enjoy themselves. Although we have no venue of our own we have access to many between the Brecon and Crickhowell areas. The club is affiliated to the BHS British Riding Clubs, (want to know more about BHS Riding Clubs go to www.bhs.org.uk ) a governing body that has more than 430 clubs and 38,000 members across the UK. Being affiliated will give the club and its members great opportunities and benefits.
